The new VW Golf Match
At least the Volkswagen Golf Match makes sensible use of the pun, unlike the VW Touran Match we got last summer or the Tiguan Match that turned up a couple of weeks ago. And it looks like VW are intent on wiping out the SE trim across their range and replacing it with the ‘Match Moniker’. This is much the same deal as we had with the Tiguan Match.
Kia Motors America signed a two-year extension of its sponsorship deal with the National Basketball Association through the league's 2011-2012 season. The deal also expands Kia's sponsorship of the NBA to make the brand the official automotive partner of NBA All-Star events and the NBA Cares charity. Kia will also be the title sponsor of the NBA All-Star MVP award, given to the most valuable player during the league's all-star game, Kia and the NBA said in a statement.
Jason Castriota, the noted designer who created the Ferrari P4/5 and the Maserati GranTurismo, is taking his talents to Saab. He will be in charge of design for the Swedish automaker as it looks to develop a new image after being sold by former parent General Motors, Bloomberg News reports. Castriota will work on developing an upscale model of the 9-3 and will try to bolster Saab to better compete with BMW and Audi.
